Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a three day experience in Christian living, TEC is designed for high school seniors, and age when young men and women are at a natural time of preparing to make important decisions that will give their lives definite direction -- vocation, social, educational and spiritual. About TEC: Who? TEC is geared for high school seniors who attend either public or Catholic school. All TEC weekends are coed. Where? TEC weekends are held at various parishes/schools throughout the Archdiocese. When? TEC begins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and ends about 4:00 p.m. on Monday. All TEC participants must be present for the entire weekend; no one is allowed to arrive late or to leave early. An adult should drive you to and from the TEC site. How do I register? The registration process consists of completing three forms; an application form, a medical release / parent permission form, and a confidential interview sheet. These forms can be obtained from the youth ministry office. What do I bring? Casual, comfortable clothes are appropriate for the weekend. Bring a towel, washcloth, personal toiletries, sleeping bag and pillow. Do not bring radios, tape/CD players, valuables, or homework. Cost? The cost for the entire weekend is $50.00 this includes overnight housing, 7 meals, photo, and TEC materials. You may be asked by your local TEC contact person to pay an additional amount for transportation to/from the TEC site.
